Centre for Social Innovation Food Programming Meeting Sept. 14

When: Wednesday September 14 10:00 - noon

Where: Centre for Social Innovation - Annex Room 4

Cost: No charge

Information: info(AT)philosopheroffood.com

This is a meeting for people engaged in food and culture in the city of Toronto who are interested in networking with colleagues. The group meets once a month at the Centre for Social Innovation. The meeting provides an opportunity to hear and share news, initiate or join existing collaborations and engage with others who are interested in creating a sustainable, tasty food revolution.

We envision planning workshops/info sessions on topics of interest to the group, breaking bread together at various locations in the city, and offering support in the form of connections and information to social entrepreneurs working in the area of food.

At the table, you are likely to meet farmers, market vendors, food processors, gleaners, researchers, designers, web developers, computer scientists, youth support workers, community food animators, caterers, teachers, and food innovators.

Facilitating the meeting is done on a rotation basis with one CSI-member and one non-CSI member. In addition, at each meeting, one member does a seven minute pitch on their project/organization/business/initiative. If you are interested in co-facilitating or in pitching to the group, please contact info(AT)philosopheroffood.com for more information.

Aruna Handa and Mike Paduada, both of the Centre for Social Innovation, convene this group.
